The Life and Times of Nibbles

I'm writing a true story about my rabbit, Nibbles! Obviously I don't know if this is actually how he thinks, but yeah.. xD

Chapter 1
It was March 12, 2004 and I hunched down low in the plastic cage in the petshop, flattening my ears against my head. The loud noises from all of the children scared me. I looked at the two twin black rabbits also in this cage, happily grooming eachother. I felt very lonely. A young girl with long blonde hair walked over to the cage and looked at me with trusting eyes.
"Look, Dad! This one is so cute!" she pointed at me. I stared back at her with scared eyes.
"Don't you want to look at the other rabbits first?" a tall man asked, who was probably the girl's father.
"No, I think he's the one." the girl said positively as she stroked my ear. I held very still, feeling frightened but excited too. Would I finally be taken to a home with loving people?
"Okay then, it's settled. Let me go find an employee." her dad said. The girl gently patted my head. She seemed very nice. Her dad and another guy who worked at the shop walked over to my cage.
"I'll help you find all of the supplies, and then we can go to the check out. Would you like to hold him until we get everything together?" the employee said.
"Oh, yes please!" the girl replied excitedly. She gently slid her hands under me and lifted me from the cage. I panicked, not sure what to do. I've never been held before. But I felt that I could trust the girl, so I relaxed in her arms.
After the girl's father and the employee got all of the pet supplies together, the employee put me in a small box with holes in the sides. It was scary being in a box! Why was I in there?! Someone, probably the girl, picked up the box and carried me somewhere. Cold air suddenly rushed through the holes in the box. I shivered and kept down low. But in a few minutes, I was somewhere warm and felt safer. I was finally on my way to my new home.
